Computed tomography - Multisensor SMS with computed tomography
For accurate 3D measurement and non-destructive testing of parts made of steel, titanium, aluminium, ceramics, plastics and elastomers as well as composite workpieces such as connectors and assemblies.
The Werth TomoScope® multisensor coordinate measuring machine is a vertical concept working on the principle of X-rays in combination with other sensors. This technology is unique because Werth Messtechnik GmbH has integrated the technology of the tomograph with multisensor dimensional metrology. The advantage of CT is the ability to acquire a large number of points in a short time, measured through a highly accurate multisensor SMS. A machine of this configuration is not only capable of measuring "accessible geometries" but equally well for the "conventional method", hidden dimensions, angles and diameters from the structure inside the part. The geometries obtained by this fast method can be further refined by "calibration points" obtained by a high-precision contact sensor to ensure the accuracy and repeatability of the results. Until now, it has not been possible to perform complete and accurate measurements by detecting all standard geometries, general surfaces, internal geometries or inaccessible parts of the part such as hidden edges or dents without destroying the part.
WinWerth® VolumeCheck to plot volume data. Three different views can be used simultaneously and can be shown or hidden. It is possible to display the entire volume, i.e. all voxels with the corresponding value. When displaying "ISO-Surfaces", only voxels with the selected greyscale value level are displayed. Also, 2D sections can be displayed by selecting the appropriate cutting plane. All display variants can be freely rotated in three directions and can be analyzed from any side. The 3D-CAD model, voxel volume and measurement point cloud are displayed in the same coordinate system. Visualization with custom color and transparency settings greatly facilitates the analysis.
